Getaria Choker in light silver-toned brass and crystal rhinestones is from Balenciaga's 53rd Couture Collection. It is made in France
The Getaria Choker replicates an archival 1965 piece from Cristóbal Balenciaga’s jewelry collection. It was made using high jewelry setting and assembly techniques.
The structure of the piece is cast.
Each rhinestone is cut, faceted, and polished by hand, then placed in a pronged setting.
This piece features hundreds of rhinestones of differing sizes, each applied individually using a delicate method.
A patina is then applied to give an aged, satin finish.
The manufacturing process takes approximately 2.5 weeks of work.
Dimensions are 22 cm x 7.5 cm x 1.5 cm and it weighs 128 grams.
